The Sunset Hideaway will live up
to its name when you watch the sunset from the large westward
patio deck on the Colorado River each night. You will be amazed
of the water views from all windows. It is the perfect location
to escape the stresses of everyday life. You’re just
minutes from the beach, exceptional fishing in two bay systems,
or enjoying Matagorda’s Nature Park. For boat owners,
Riverbend public boat ramp and Wayne’s Bait Stand are
just a short 1/2 mile away. If you plan to hire one of Matagorda’s
premier fishing guides, have them pick you up dockside and
skip the hustle and bustle of Matagorda Marina.
The Sunset Hideaway features...
Upscale 3/2.5 beach house located
on the Colorado River with lighted pier! As you enter
the Sunset Hideaway, downstairs you’ll find the fully
equipped gourmet kitchen with oversized island open to the
spacious living room. The kitchen also has your very own “Sonic”
ice machine. You and your guests will have ample space to
prepare meals and enjoy time together making memories. Upstairs
you’ll find 3 bedrooms where you and your guests can
recharge for the next days adventures. The master bedroom
features a king bed, a private bathroom with separate shower
and whirlpool tub, and a private third story observation deck
overlooking the Colorado River. The second bedroom has a queen
bed and views of East Matagorda Bay. The third bedroom has
a queen bed and twin bunk beds with views of the Colorado
River. The other upstairs bathroom has a shower and tub, The
washer and dryer is located at the top of the stairs. The
lighted fishing dock on the Colorado River provides excellent
fishing for speckled trout, sand trout, and redfish. Be sure
to bring string and chicken necks for crabbing from the pier.
The house is located on a quiet private road off of the main
beach road. This will allow everyone to enjoy the full
sounds of nature without all of the traffic noise. There are
two covered parking spots under the house with additional
trailer parking across the private road. The concrete patio
below is always cool & breezy and perfect for entertaining.
The fully furnished home will ensure that your stay is comfortable
and enjoyable. Stay connected on your stay with high speed
Wifi available.
Rental rates:
$450 per night,
with a 2 night minimum for 8 adults max.
$100 cleaning fee.

Will be provided upon successful rental
deposit and signed rental agreement.
